First AI-native URL shortener

Zipt MCP — AI-Ready Link Infrastructure

Zipt is the first URL shortener with a public Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any custom AI agent, and let it create, read and analyze your short links natively — no browser, no dashboard, no code beyond a config snippet.

Available Tools

Scopes gate each tool. Create a key with the scopes you need on the API Keys page.

ToolScopeDescription
create_account_link links:create Create a short link for your account from your AI agent (idempotent, plan-limited)
list_links links:read List your short links (paginated)
get_link links:read Get a single short link
list_tags links:read List your link tags
get_link_stats analytics:read Query clicks, countries, browsers, referrers, UTM campaigns
check_link_safety security:check Check a URL against the local Web Risk blocklist (zero outbound)
update_link links:update Change target URL / expiry / max visits / tags (opt-in)

Destructive actions are never exposed to AI: links:delete, billing:* and domains:* are locked out entirely.

Connect Claude

Claude Desktop / Claude Code (native MCP http transport). Replace the key with your own.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "zipt": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://www.ziptsystems.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer zipt_mcp_YOUR_KEY_HERE" }
    }
  }
}

Or via CLI (Claude Code)

claude mcp add zipt --transport http \
  --url https://www.ziptsystems.com/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer zipt_mcp_YOUR_KEY_HERE"

Connect ChatGPT

Custom GPT → Actions → add the MCP server URL (API key passed in the Authorization header).

Server URL:  https://www.ziptsystems.com/mcp
Headers:     Authorization: Bearer zipt_mcp_YOUR_KEY_HERE
Protocol: Model Context Protocol (MCP), version 2025-03-26
Transport: HTTP + SSE (event: message)

Try Before You Buy — 60 Second Demo

  1. Open the API Keys page and Generate a Key (scopes ticked by default).
  2. Copy the key (it's shown exactly once) and paste it into the config above.
  3. Ask your AI: "Create a short link for https://example.com with the slug my-first-ai-link"
  4. Watch the short URL come back — then ask "get stats for my-first-ai-link" after traffic lands.
